BOY SCOUT CAMP TO OPEN JUNE 17; PROGRAM VARIED
Summer camps have been maintained by the San Diego Boy Scout council since 1918 and this year’s camp, which will open June 17, will be able to accommodate 300 boys at one time.
The first three camps were held at Del Mar, next two at Palomar mountain, then one year at Fort Rosecrans and one year at Hulburd Grove. Since 1925 the camps have been at Cuyamaca lake on property given by Col. Ed Fletcher.
The camp this year is scheduled to remain open at least until July 14 and for as many one-week periods thereafter as there are a minimum of 35 boys registered.
