Ahwhanee Lodge # 430 was the 23rd Lodge to be formed in California. It served the Northern area of Orange County.

The Lodge took its name from the First Nation people who lived in Yosemite Valley and called the local area Ahwahne.

Ahwahnee Lodge’s primary Scout camp was Camp Ahwahnee, located near Green Valley Lake, California.

In 1973, Ahwahnee Lodge # 430 and San Gorgonio Lodge # 298 merged to form Wiatava Lodge # 13.
