The 1953 National Jamboree was held at Orange County’s Irvine Ranch. This was the most important event to ever be held in BSA’s Region 12.
Jamboree Road in Orange County is named for the event. There is a historic marker for the Jamboree at Newport Beach’s Fashion Island Mall.
