BSA Region 12

Region 12 was an organization without the Boy Scouts of America that existed from 1920 – 1972. The original Region system was closely based on the Federal Reserve regional system.

Region 12 consisted of the majority of California, Nevada, Utah, the majority of Arizona, and a small part of Wyoming.

The slogan for the Region was “Siempre Adelante,” Spanish for always forward.

The Region 12 office was based in Los Angeles.

In 1973, the BSA would consolidate from 12 Regions to 6 Regions, and the BSA Western Region was born. The entirety of the original BSA Region 12 became part of the new BSA Western Region.
