Boy Scout Camp Josepho in Rustic Canyon now has a nature lodge to be used in the teaching of animal and plant life skills to scouts.
The building was presented to the Crescent Bay Area Council by the families of Donald Kaufman and Eli Broad, in memory of Life Scout Richard Yale Golman who died in October, 1968.
The building was dedicated in a ceremony participated in by the donors, the Golman family and Scout officials, including Council President George Pardee Jr.; Schiller Colberg, scout executive, and Anatol Josepho, who originally gave the camp to the Scout Council.
The camp is three miles north of Sunset Boulevard in Rustic Canyon and is widely used by Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts on a year around basis for camping and other outdoor activities.
