In 1949, Tahquitz Lodge # 127 printed their By-Laws at Rubidoux Printing in Riverside, California. This document is a good early example of how Lodges organized themselves, as well as the rules they operated by.
There are many interesting notes in this document, including calling their Lodge Chief simply, Sakima, as well as District Sakimas. They don’t appear to use the term Chapter.
There are also guidelines for honorary membership, which the National Order of the Arrow Committee would eventually outlaw.
