2000 – 2009

2001: Cahuilla Lodge Receives First National Service Award

Cahuilla Lodge receives the National Service Award for the first time, after the award was started in 1999.

2002: Cahuilla Lodge receives E. Urner Goodman Camping Award

This is the third time Cahuilla Lodge receives the award.

2003: A Stormy Conclave At Camp Emerson

A Conclave was held at Camp Emerson for the first time since 1960. A very large storm arrived and created a very rainy and muddy weekend. Michael Gollner was elected to his first term as Section W4B Chief.

2004: James Hermes Drove A Tank

1993 – 1994 Lodge Chief James Hermes got to drive a tank in 29 Palms.

2006: Michael Gollner Received National OA Distinguished Service Award

Michael Gollner became the 4th Cahuilla Lodge member, and 4th Michael, to receive the OA’s Distinguished Service Award. Michael served multiple terms as Section W4B Chief and was the first youth to lead the NEPT Committee1.

2006: Cahuilla Lodge receives E. Urner Goodman Camping Award

This is the fourth time Cahuilla Lodge receives the award.

2007: Beautiful Conclave At Camp Emerson and an Awards Sweep

The Conclave was brought back to Camp Emerson in 2007. Aaron Jones was the Service Lodge Chief. Unlike 4 years prior, the weather was nice and beautiful all weekend. Camp activities were held throughout, but the afternoon competitions in the meadow area were a highlight and had many spectators.

Cahuilla Lodge also became the third and final Lodge to sweep all 3 Awards at the Conclave, the Niganet, Lodge Excellence, and Spirit. Aaron Jones was also election Section W4B Chief.

2008:  Recession and ArrowCorps5

In 2008, Cahuilla Lodge took 72 people (48 participants and 24 staff) to ArrowCorps5, the largest contingent of the 300 Councils in the country.  Youth contingent leader Dale Parker won a Nintendo Wii for the Lodge’s accomplishment.

2009: Cahuilla Lodge Receives E. Urner Goodman Camping Award and National Service Award

This is the second time Cahuilla Lodge receives both the E. Urner Goodman Camping Award and National Service Award.

2009: Kyle Sitarski Elected Section W4S Chief

Kyle Sitarski was elected Section W4S Chief at the 2009 Section W4B Conclave held at Lost Valley Scout Reservation.
