1936

Canalino Lodge # 90 formed serving Mission Council # 53 in Santa Barbara. They are the first Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1936, California had 1 Order of the Arrow Lodge.

1937

Navajo Lodge # 98 formed serving Old Baldy Council in Ontario. They are the second Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Mirimichi Lodge # 102 formed. They are the third Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1937, California had 3 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1938

Tahquitz Lodge # 127 formed serving Riverside County Council # 45 in Riverside. They are the fourth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1938, California had 4 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1941

Stanford Lodge # 207 formed. They are the fifth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1941, California had 5 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1942

Tamet Lodge # 225 is formed. They are the sixth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Walika Lodge # 228 is formed. They are the seventh Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1942, California had 7 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1943

Spe-Le-Yai Lodge # 249 formed. They are the eighth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1943, California had 8 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1944

Siwinis Lodge # 252 formed. They are the ninth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Mow-A-Toc Lodge # 262 formed. They are the tenth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Swegedaigea Lodge # 263 formed. They are the eleventh Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Yo-Se-Mite Lodge # 278 formed. They are the twelfth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1944, California had 12 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1945

Royaneh Lodge # 282 formed. They are the thirteenth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Topa Topa Lodge # 291 formed. They are the fourteenth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

San Gorgonio Lodge # 298 formed. They are the fifteenth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Yowlumne Lodge # 303 formed. They are the sixteenth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Cayucos Lodge # 304 formed. They are the seventeenth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1945, California had 17 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1946

Stanislaus Lodge # 342 formed. They are the eighteenth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1946, California had 18 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1947

Mayi Lodge # 354 formed. They are the nineteenth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1947, California had 19 Order of the Arrow Lodges.

1948

Machek N’Gult Lodge # 375 formed. They are the twentieth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Kaweah Lodge # 379 formed. They are the twenty-first Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Ho-Mita-Koda Lodge # 380 formed serving the Redlands Area Council in Redlands. They are the twenty-second Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Tribe of La Porte Lodge # 395 formed. They are the twenty-third Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Stanford Lodge # 207 changes their name to Stanford-Oljato Lodge # 207.

Stanislaus Lodge # 342 changes their name to Sumi Lodge # 342.

Cayucos Lodge # 304 disbanded.

By the end of 1948, California had 22 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 2 Lodge name changes, and 1 Lodge disbanded.

1950

Ahwahnee Lodge # 430 formed. They are the twenty-fourth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Ashie Lodge # 436 formed. They are the twenty-fifth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Tribe of La Porte Lodge # 395 changes their name to Kowaunkamish # 395.

Miwok Lodge # 439 formed. It would disband in 1952. They are the twenty-sixth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1950, California had 25 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 1 Lodge disbanded.

1951

Hungteetsepoppi Lodge # 466 formed. They are the twenty-seventh Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1951, California had 26 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 1 Lodge disbanded.

1952

Oo-Yum-Buli Lodge # 468 formed. They are the twenty-eighth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Wisumahi Lodge # 478 formed. They are the twenty-ninth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Tehama Lodge # 485 formed. They are the thirtieth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Ho-Mita-Koda Lodge # 380 disbanded.

Miwok Lodge # 439 disbanded.

By the end of 1952, California had 27 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1953

Ta Tanka Lodge # 488 formed. They are the thirty-first Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1953, California had 28 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1955

A-tsa Lodge # 380 formed serving Grayback Council in Redlands. They are the thirty-second Lodge to be chartered in the State of California. This Lodge was reconstituted from the disbanded Ho-Mita-Koda Lodge.

Canaku Lodge # 511 formed. They are the thirty-third Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1955, California had 30 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1957

Pomponio Lodge # 528 formed. They are the thirty-fourth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Esselen Lodge # 531 formed. They are the thirty-fifth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Pang Lodge # 532 formed. They are the thirty-sixth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1957, California had 33 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1958

Talako Lodge # 533 formed. They are the thirty-seventh Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1958, California had 34 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1959

Cabrosha Lodge # 537 Formed. They are the thirty-eighth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1959, California had 35 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1961

Sha-Cha-Quoi Lodge # 548 formed. They are the thirty-ninth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1961, California had 36 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1962

Chumash Lodge # 304 formed. This Lodge was reconstituted from the disbanded Miwok Lodge # 304. They are the fortieth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1962, California had 37 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 3 Lodges disbanded.

1964

Miwok Lodge # 439 rechartered after being disbanded for 12 years. They are the forty-first Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1964, California had 38 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1965

Achwon Nimat Lodge # 282 formed. This Lodge was the result of the merger of Royaneh Lodge # 282 and Machek N’Gult Lodge # 375. They are the forty-first Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1965, California had 37 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 2 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1970

Canaku Lodge # 511 absorbed by Mayi Lodge # 354.

By the end of 1970, California had 36 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 3 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1972

Malibu Lodge # 566 is formed. They are the forty-second Lodge to be chartered in the State of California. This Lodge was from the merger of Tamet Lodge # 225 and Walika Lodge # 228.

By the end of 1972, California had 35 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 4 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1973 – January 1

Wiatava Lodge # 13 formed serving Orange County Council # 39 in Santa Ana. They are the forty-third Lodge to be chartered in the State of California. This Lodge was formed from the merger of Ahwahnee Lodge # 430 and San Gorgonio Lodge # 298.

1973 – June 1

Cahuilla Lodge # 127 formed serving California Inland Empire Council # 45 in Riverside (later, Redlands). They are the forty-fifth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California. This Lodge was formed the merger of Tahquitz Lodge # 127 and Wisumahi Lodge # 478.

By the end of 1973, California had 33 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 8 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1974

A-tsa Lodge # 380 is absorbed into Cahuilla Lodge # 127. Some National records indicate 1976, but this is incorrect.

By the end of 1974, California had 32 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 9 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1992

Tiwahe Lodge # 45 formed serving Desert-Pacific Council. This was a result of the merger of Ashie Lodge # 436 and Pang Lodge # 532. They are the forth-sixth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1992, California had 31 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 11 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1994

Orca Lodge # 194 formed from the merger of Mow-A-Toc Lodge # 262 and Cabrosha Lodge # 537. They are the forth-seventh Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Tah-Heetch Lodge # 195 formed from the merger of Mirimichi Lodge # 102 and Sha-Cha-Quoi Lodge # 548. They are the forth-eighth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Amangi Nacha Lodge # 47 is formed from the merger of Mayi Lodge # 354, Kowaunkamish Lodge # 395, and Tehama Lodge # 485. They are the forth-ninth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

Ut-In-Selica Lodge # 58 formed. This was the result of the merger of Swegedaigea Lodge # 263 and Oo-Yum-Buli Lodge # 468. They are the fiftieth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1994, California had 26 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 20 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1995

Ohlone Lodge # 63 formed. This Lodge was formed from the merger of Stanford-Oljato Lodge # 207 and Pomponio Lodge # 528. They are the fifth-first Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1995, California had 25 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 22 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1996

Chumash Lodge # 90 formed from the merger of Canalino Lodge # 90 and Chumash Lodge # 304. They are the fifty-second Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1996, California had 24 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 24 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

1999

Toloma Lodge # 64 formed. This Lodge was formed from the merge of Yo-Se-Mite Lodge # 278 and Sumi Lodge # 342. They are the fifth-third Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 1999, California had 23 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 29 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

2006

Navajo Lodge # 98 is absorbed by Cahuilla Lodge # 127 and Ta Tanka Lodge # 488. The Lodge and Council are split into existing Lodges along the Los Angeles-San Bernardino County line.

By the end of 2006, California had 22 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 29 Lodges merged, and 2 Lodges disbanded.

2012

Puvunga Lodge # 32 formed. They are the fifth-fourth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 2012, California had 23 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 28 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

2013

Saklan Lodge # 970 formed. This Lodge was the result of the merger of Miwok Lodge # 439 and Esselen Lodge # 531. They are the fifty-fifth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 2013, California had 22 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 30 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

2015

Tuku’Ut Lodge # 32 formed. This lodge was formed from the merger of Siwinis Lodge # 252 and Ta Tanka Lodge # 488. They are the fifty-sixth Lodge to be chartered in the State of California.

By the end of 2015, California had 21 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 34 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.

2021

Yerba Buena Lodge # 719 formed. This Lodge was the result of the merger of Achwon Nimat Lodge # 282, Kaweah Lodge # 379, and Ut-In Selica Lodge # 58.

California currently has 19 Order of the Arrow Lodges, 3 Lodge name changes, 37 Lodges merged, and 3 Lodges disbanded.
