Hemet-San Jacinto Valley Council # 28 (1923 – 1927)

Hemet-San Jacinto Valley Council was an early Council based in Hemet, California.

The Council was part of the first Riverside County Scout Summer Camp in Idyllwild in 1919.

In 1927, the Council was absorbed by Riverside County Council # 45.

Working Notes:

1923: Hemet-San Jacinto Valley Council chartered as a new Council in August1.

1924: Charles Van Fleet listed as Scout Executive2.

1927: Charles Van Fleet listed as Scout Executive3.

1927: Council is absorbed by Riverside County Council. Outgoing Scout Executive Charles Van Fleet would become a State Ranger in charge of fire suppression in Riverside County. By October, Riverside Scout Executive C.B. Cantrell was attending meetings of the Council. J.C. Loomis was Council Chair.
