Balboa Canal Zone Council

The Balboa Canal Zone Council was briefly associated with Area 12 in the 1940s and 1950s. This Council was centered on the community of Balboa, Panama, where the United States administered the Panama Canal.

It’s Order of the Arrow Lodge was Chiriqui Lodge # 391. They also had a Scout Camp called Camp Chagres on the shores of Madden Lake, or Lake Alahuela.

The Council eventually was involved with Area 6 and eventually was absorbed into the Direct Service Council.
