Las Vegas Area Council # 328 is the current Council based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It serves most of Southern Nevada, and the Northwest Area of Arizona, principally in Kingman.
The Council was previously named Boulder Dam Area Council before a name change in 2005.
Phil Bevins was Scout Executive from 2001 to 2010, and was the Council professional leader when the Council changed its name.
In 2009, James Arriola received the Silver Antelope award.
Shane Calendine 2010 to 2016 before he became Director of the Western Region.
In 2012, Robert Johnston received the Silver Antelope award.
Mike Marchese was Scout Executive from 2016 to 2019.
In 2018, Howard Bulloch received the Silver Buffalo award.
In April 2020, Todd Walter came from the Central Region to become Scout Executive.
In 2022, Paul Moffat received the Silver Buffalo award.
In 2022, due to AB506 and the need for consistent adult leader requirements on the State level, some California areas of the Council were transferred to California Inland Empire Council # 45.
Joel Eacker received the Silver Buffalo award in 2023.
In 2024, Las Vegas Area Council was moved to Council Service Territory # 3, linking it with the majority of California Councils.
