The Mojave Chapter served the Mojave District of California Inland Empire Council. It comprised the City of Barstow and its outlying communities, as well as the Big Bear communities in the San Bernardino Mountains.
The chapter can trace its history back to the Mojave Chapter in Wisumahi Lodge.
Two Cahuilla Lodge Chiefs were from Barstow Troop 62, Karl Hartmetz in 1974, and Vinney Williams in 1998 – 2000. Pete Townsend served as Cahuilla Lodge Adviser in 2000-2002.
Because of the distance between the communities of Barstow and Big Bear, Big Bear was given Clan status and allowed to locally organize for Scouts and Scouters in the mountains. This happened on a couple occasions in the 1980s and 1990s.
The Mojave Chapter was eventually merged with the Serrano Chapter from the Victor Valley.
