Del Webb High Adventure Base (1974 – 2018)

Del Webb High Adventure Base was a camp just outside Zion National Park in the Lava Point area. It held a total of 941 acres.

Crystal Creek ran from Northwest to Southeast, on the Eastern edge of the camp. This creek merged with Deep Creek, before it proceeded into Zion and joined the Virgin River near th Narrows.

The camp’s elevation was about 7,000 feet. Due to the elevation and terrain, it was only used during the Summer, and was difficult to access in the Winter.

The camp consisted of a lower, middle, and upper, camp. Scouts were often bused in, and rainy weather could make the approach a challenge.

The camp was used beginning in 1974, until it was ultimately sold in 2018.
