James Slauson Memorial Camp (1923 – 1986)

Camp was also known as Camp Slauson or Camp Slauson Topanga Canyon.

The camp had 120 acres and was North of Malibu in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles County.

The camp in the Santa Monica Mountains was transferred by deed on December 12, 1985, to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy for inclusion in the Santa Monica Mountains preserve.

It was available for use by Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorers, and the general public. Camp Slauson was a majestic camping and hiking area located just off Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
