Camp Tulakes

Camp Tulakes existed from the 1920s until the 1970s. Leased from the San Bernardino National Forest, Tulakes has the distinction of being the primary camp for two different councils. Until 1955, it was the primary camp for Old Baldy Council. In 1955, Grayback Council acquired the lease for the camp. In 1974, when Grayback was absorbed by California Inland Empire Council, it was briefly a CIEC camp.

There were three main campsites in the camp.

Much of the property still exists, as appears to be mainly used for maintenance by USFS, as well as an equestrian staging area for the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association.
