Saahapta District (1995)

The Saahapta District was a short-lived merger in 1995 of the Arrowhead and Grayback Districts.

The name, Saahapta, was taken from a Cahuilla cultural site near present-day Cherry Valley.

The name, and the merged district, were not popular at the time and in 1996, the Arrowhead and Grayback Districts re-emerged.
